Slow Cranking 62t 1000cc

I'll check it out in a little bit, but for now: what's the best starter money can buy for big CC motors?

Like I said, the starters from EMS Global on Ebay are priced great and they have way more torque than OEM. They're even Mitsuba, just like OEM, but the ones I got have more torque.

You may well find its down to the ignition trying to spark too early as the piston is coming up.

Try turning motor over, plugs in with finger on stop button. If it turns over quicker, the ignition set up, start circuit or advance in timing could be the issue. Guseesing your running a 10mm crank

A sheared woodruff key allowing TDC of flywheel to become out of time with TDC of crankshaft

Edit: but you already did the bendix and had the flywheel off so this is prolly off the table

Hey guys quick thanks to everybody offering help!

Found the problem!! The ring gear was slipping on the flywheel!

Did a quick sharpie test by marking a couple spots on the ring gear and flywheel, replacing the crank case cover, and cranking a few times. The marks didn't line up! Huge shoutout to mark345 for recommending we test that.

Gonna order a new MSD flywheel and hope for the best! I'll keep you updated!

Send it to zero and get it lightened and ring gear pinned
