Tuning help.. Brought the Superjet out yesterday to do some tuning after fixing a few issues over the winter. Basically I can get the topend crisp and fast, the bottom pretty good but mid range it will be good then after a high speed run and a few blips it will bog out. It won't die and I can feather it back..but will lose power down to low low rpms. Hitting the primer for added fuel makes the issue worst.

I checked the plugs, and granted I couldnt do a high speed shut off.. the front plug was charcoal color and dry. Rear looked to had color but washed off mostly with fuel and was wet. I swapped the spark plug wires and the wet plug remained in the rear of cylinder.

Carbs wound up at 2 turns out on low and 2-1/8 on highs. They are black body 44mm blackjacks.

Motors is a old school race ported 62T 701 with 35cc head. R&D M16 intake setup, and the reeds are nearly new.

Has a SJ mod b pipe

Also I'll add that the issues fixed were that I added a external fuel pump and obviously eliminated the pumps on the carbs. Reason this was done, because the second pulse fitting I drilled and added was found to be restrictive, and more so when it was blown in with added force. So I blocked it and I'd the stock pulse to drive the external fuel pump.

Also I replaced a old msd enhancer with a brand new one, it it failed and wasn't giving spark any longer.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

That sounds electrical. If the msd went bad over a period of time it may have affected other components. Coil etc

Deto on front piston. Looks like crank seal failed. Odd bc they were brand new oem seals.. maybe 5 hours on it.
