heh... just have to wait and see....
So, I did a little work last night.
I tried out some paint stripper on my firewall. It was a big ordeal, and I didn't get any pictures.
Took the hull outside, stood it up on end and did the thing. I'm not 100% sure it was the best idea, but it was an idea. That paint stripper is no joke either, I got some on my arms (I was wearing heavy duty/ long gloves... and shorts and Tee shirt.)
Anyhow, firewall looks better. Next step is scuff/prep and repair the holes.
Is the firewall made of the same material as the bottom deck?

I'm having LOLz sitting here watching him while I type...
For very good reasons, the build will be temporarily on hold to complete another project.

So I wake up this morning and first thing I think of is the box going to my dad's house. After seeing the teaser pics I forgot to warn him it was coming so I'm like...
Then I head off to work where I forget about the box coming. Then I'm driving and get a text from my dad: "You got a package today, its on the counter. Dad"
And I'm like a package!
So I just left it at that until I got to his house after work and saw the box sitting on the counter.
Then I noticed the nice touch he had on the top, hahah!!
So I open it up and take a look, not knowing what to expect and....
Confetti everywhere!!!
Then I go searching thru the box and start pulling out the goodies...
Now the excitement is over for the day and it's time for sleep.
Oh yeah, nice part# too.
Then I head off to work where I forget about the box coming. Then I'm driving and get a text from my dad: "You got a package today, its on the counter. Dad"

Its a standard issue joke that I play when sending gifts. Especially wedding gifts.
I lay the tissue paper (packing paper in Deftons case) in like a cup, or back and forth. And each layer I pour in confetti of various types, his can be seen on the table. The idea is that you pretty much can't get your gift out without making ridiculous mess... The metal plate was on the bottom of the box. Its the gift that keeps giving....
I probably should have redone the sign, but that was all the aluminum I had on hand. Its not my best work, but i've never done letters before. Good enough for a prize lol... I wanted to give him something that he couldn't go out and buy.
Hmm... next contest..... I can do one for the hull weight after I finish all my stuff. But you never can tell with me... next gift might be awful.
Glad everyone enjoyed it... I was hoping Deftons would take a 'layer by layer' pic but thats good enough... I hope it made a mess.
BTW, double check that DVD case.... :sneaky:
