SXR Mod opinions, what next ?

I am trying to decide between two different options and want some help from anyone that has done either. Boat is a 06 SXR with Wetpipe looking for more low end here. Looking for some advice or anyone with similar set ups.

OPTION 1 approx $350

-Group K Head Work
-Group K Flywheel Lightening
-Group K Nozzle Bore 80/81mm
-Impros re-pitch stock impeller for wetpipe and cut back

OPTION 2 approx $650

-Jet World Surf Port Job
-R&D Head
-Nozzle bore 80/81 mm
-Possibly still have impeller done.

From the 2 builders you listed I go with Dan at Jetworld. Dan has been doing his thing almost as long as groupk. I got to ride his 03 open race boat this past summer and it was the fastest thing I've ever been on.
I tried using the ww cone on my surf sxr this past summer. Had a slight gain in low end pull but nothing even close to the hook up improvement when I installed the TBM cone.

I concur that Dan would be VASTLY superior to GroupK. You should also talk to Art at Jetworks. He has done a lot with these too.

Yeah, I Know Dan he's a good guy and he always hooks me up. He told me the porting, head and nozzle would make it rip so I think thats what I'm leaning towards........

The lightweight flywheels make a big difference. DJKorn's got a wet-pipe and a lightweight flywheel and his ski jumps out of the water.

I hear through the grapevine that you can remove the magnets and inner ring from an oem flywheel and it makes a huge difference. It is, of course, a total loss at that point.

I have a Wet pipe w/timing Adv., ADA head 28cc domes (and 26cc) V-force reeds, GroupK Lightened Flywheel, WW cone, Bored Nozzle and stock prop (going to swap soon). I think it hits nice on the bottom, The flywheel was a great mod for the money as well as the bump in Comp. I would rec. going with a Girdled head though, 3 of us have had cracked Cyl from not running one, even with wet pipes. I think your in Mich?? Feel free to come out and ride my ski if you cant make up your mind. -Ryan
