its not gonna break...as long as u dont rush it. i was nervous about that too because of bruces situation. just dont rush it and take your time. id do it and put that money towards a pipe or something....but i know what u mean about wasting riding time

Do a search you but if you cut down the stock pole it is lighter and just as strong. I bolted mine back together with 1/4 stainless carriage bolts Makes it super strong and no worries about it ever working loose like rivets.

And with the addition of a limiting rope you will never break your pole. I guarantee it or I will give you your money back... LOL

ok thanx guys for the info and advice......im goin to think about getting this UMI pole also tho b/c its for a great price. im probably goin to keep my stock one anyway so i might cut that down and switch them in the season see which one i like riding wit an if i like the stock one ill sell the other one u knwo......either or. hows the ski comin along anyway Woody

basically at a standstill. forgot to order foam in my order, so we can't reinforce under the nose. also i need to stop by kevin's to pick up like 8" of carbon fiber to my reinforcement of the body. other than that the msd is in, flywheel in, head on, pipe on. i just bought a stock 08 sj impeller too.

waiting on primer kit, pole spring, pissers, and fiberglassing stuff, then she'll be ready to go.

UMI = Heavy

Stock pole = lite as a feather. IMO

X2 what Speedfreak said. I have never broke a pole and I sold my UMI years ago to go back to stock.
