I am pleased ..... i think it would be 75lbs or less without all the installed items i listed .also found this full carbon hull on another thread of a fs1 to put this weight in perspective Quote "My carbon fs1 hull was 86 lbs (hull, hood, footholds, scupper, pole bracket... Hope that helps ya out." end quote

Just a little note -

Fiberglass Hurricanes Hull & Hood weigh in around 75lbs, +/-8lbs for turf, a couple pounds for footpods & ride plate, so shipping weight is usually just under the 90lbs mark as you already know. The new Hurricane Fiberglass hulls are about the same weight as the Carbon Gen3's, and much stronger as well.

Carbon Fiber Hurricane Hull & Hood are now at the 50lbs mark, with the same add-ons.

Havasu's coming up in 5 weeks, Rob - the ski isn't going to build itself! Can't wait to hear what you think about the Hurricane compared to your G3 :)

Hey DK ,i may have found a new way to never be out of work ,just order a hull and it comes on like crazy .i have ben totally slammed ever since we started to talk about delivery dates,go figure . well i did decide to upgrade to a nicer midshaft assembly in which Chris from jetmaniac took care of . i started to get antsy about getting things together for my build as the season is becoming shorter ,so i will take this time to say "thanks" for being patient with my needs guys i have received great customer service from both DK and Jetmaniac .so now for my build i have most of what i need to get started minus the oem yamaha hardware i need for items such as my midshaft bolts, motor mounts to hull bolts ,bedplate to mounts bolts ,flywheel crank bolt, starter bolts to motor.if anyone has these items ready for sale and would like to send a qoute for these items pm me *i would prefer to stick with oem yamaha superjet stuff .just thought i would put it out there .in town we have a great super hardware store with just about everything you could imagine, but its just getting over there with my stuff to match up that becomes the issue for me . got to throw in that getting a new hull now a days is as cool as it was back in the 80's eh Steve ? fumigate that ....IMG_1796.jpgriver1.jpg

Phone cable was weak after being run over repeatedly this summer by a certain "grey highlander". Hmmmmm ?????? *what kind of D#ck would stand and take a photo instead of helping fix the broken phone line so we don't get rolled, notice everyone else.sheeesh ,some people

I recommend shortening that handle pole a little but more
Any shorter and i will end up with one of those jap style poles :)=no tubes. plus on this boat (Hurricane vs Gen3),the mount point of the bracket will move me forward 1 inch+ thats plenty for me ,don't want a back ache,i ride for fun .you have to remember sub ,to you im what you young bucks might consider an "O.G." stands for original gangster or to some, old guy , hahahaha. got some work done last night burning the midnight oil ,mocked up my e-box /battery locations .everything looks good ,but running the larger anti gravity battery put me right in front of my water line outlet coming out of the bulkhead . i might try and cut it back some and run a 45 degree fitting to miss it ,other than that im happy with how everything lays out .i love progress !!!!!!!:wiggle:

We actually shortened the RRP about 2.5" more from Gen3 to the Hurricane. Gen3 handle pole length is just too much.
