wave blaster air leak?

ok here is what i got. when i start my ski it starts fine at normal rpms for a few seconds then the rmps go up a few not alot just slitly above normale. when i turn it off i go through the same issuses. i did have the carbs off a lot last year and never used new gaskets

sounds like a leak somewhere....

had a similar issues... did a leakdown test and the motor checked out good. turned out my primer had gone bad over the winter and was letting in alot of air.

friend had a blaster that would diesel sometimes...start it on trailer, and it would run WOT, even with hitting stop button, pulling spark plug caps, etc...It had a base gasket leak.

check and make sure that your throttle plates are lined up the same if they are off slightly they will do this assuming dual carbs

the one plate is slightly open compared to the other

That happened on my SJ I didnt know what was going too happen first blow the motor or have a heart attack, i just got it back from the shop!
