i remember several years ago on the othersite seeing this wave machine made for surfing lakes. it was something like a large box on a pulley system in the water being pulled by a deisel engine. i am just trying to find the video. does anyone remember it?

buddies of mine once rented a wave pool at one of the disney water parks in orlando.. now they used it to surf, so i dont know how they would feel about skis.. but someone could ask

Dude, we need to save up and get one of these. No more bad days at O'side!!! We could set it up in one of the lagoons off the 5.

it couldnt be too hard to make. turn a diesel engine into what is essentially a winch and build a reinforced sheet metal wedge to make the wave.
