I haven't done any work but I did buy a handpole, steering and a B pipe. I really liked my KP handpole but I think the Xmetal pole fits this hull much better.

I haven't decided yet, I like the red a lot but there are some areas that will need repainted and matching the red gelcoat might be tricky. I was planning on painting the entire bottom deck and tubbies black but wasn't sure what to do about the gunwale areas that I will be glassing over.
Ideally, I would paint it all black with gold accents, but don't have the tools or money for a real paint job so it will likely be black appliance epoxy so I am hesitant to do much on the top deck.

I see, iv wanted to build a really nice ski for a while now with a really deep red and a nice anodized looking gold paint on the pole with blue accents to give it that vintage honda look but I'm currently getting out for a while so it will have to wait.

Been swamped with house projects lately but I did get some work done last night. Installed the pump dump one-way valve, made up some forms out of foam and glassed the bottom deck back together. Now I can install the exhaust tube, foam and start rebuilding the tray.

Did you ever ride this hull without the tubbies? I think because mine has no intake grate sometimes it will come unhooked from the water and roll to one side and you can't recover from it like on most skis? Maybe it is something I have done over the process of my mods, but I think the tubbies are a good idea

I have only ridden it without the tubbies, both with and without an intake grate and didn't really notice anything like that.

Ok cool thanks. Must be something I have done then.
Did you keep those intake blades in there? Mine does not have those.

On topic, I did actually get a little work done on this thing. Filled in as much as I could with EPS then filled the gaps with two part. I also started smoothing out the rear cut section, hope to have the tray glassed back in this weekend.

Finally am all moved into my new house and have had some time to get back to the X-Jet. Freshened up an old wetjet motor and chipping away at the huge list of parts I need to buy. The hull, for the first time in two years, is watertight. Technically it could be assembled and ridden but I've got a lot of finish work/body work and painting to do before I can start assembly.

Looking good Jason! You need to get this done before the Big Meet I'm setting up.

I'm hoping to have 3 big Cruisers setting up TWO HUGE V WAKES! Stay tune for more!

New gaskets, seals and a hone for this old wet jet motor and a fresh coat of paint. I'll be putting stock exhaust on this one since the intent is to sell this ski complete, and move on to my XFT build, I'll save the B pipe for that if I can.

Once again the old X-Jet gets pushed aside for a more expedient build. I decided I didn't want to get all dusty and itchy this weekend and maybe I wanted to ride so I robbed the engine, electronics and some of the parts and started putting my XFT together. With a little luck that will be done this weekend or sometime next week, then I can focus on getting the X-Jet all smooth and graphics and turf applied.
Here is a screenshot of the graphics I am putting on it, plus some sweet matching registration numbers from @bware52
