Looking to add a lil more juice to my motor..... What big bore kit do you guys think is the best BANG for the buck.... I do not want to go over 800cc because my budget will just not allow it.... wamiltons? team scream? Many kits out there, what do you guys think....?

Thanks,

I've been very happy with my Jetworks setup. Art has been around for a long time and builds nice setups that fit whatever budget you have.
And he's close to you.

Thanks for the reply. Seems like people are looking but no replys..... I'm glad you said you like them cuz their website is rather frustrating, not much info and the links don't work..... I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Your cheapest solution is going to be using a 64x cylinder and have it sent off for freestyle porting. You can come in under $800 with this setup including pistons. But if I am not mistaken, there is a complete 771 stroker for sale here right now for ~$1500.

Here is a breakdown of my 64x cylinder:
cylinder: $100
porting: $350 (including shipping)
pistons: $150
machine work: $80

So I have less than $700 in my 771cc topend.

with the 64x cylinder you are limited to the overbores vs going with true Big Bore Sleeves.

Bottom Line, every engine builder out there Jetworks, LPW, XScream, etc etc all has competitive packages that will work for you. How much you follow their guidelines depends on how well your finished package works.

I agree with the comments about Jetworks - the website is weak but the service is excellent.
Art is very straightforward and patient with explaining the options and going over setup recs,
and his port work gave my 61x 701 cylinder the exact power band I was looking for.

Just talked with Art from Jet Works on the phone and I am definately sending my stuff his way soon.... The guy has a ton of info and does not stop talking...! (Which is a good thing when your needing info.) Thanks for the good advise guys. Ohh and he could not stop saying how awesome Matt_E setup is!!

On a serious note larrys spare boat has a 64x cylinder with decked cases to lower the port timing and it rips! Only other thing you would need to do is machine your domes and shave a bit off the sleeves. I might in that route now
