Seems theres a recent trend on the X of more than a few people sending out incomplete parts, or mis-represented parts.... and they get defensive when you call them out on it.

What gives?

Not only that, but people aren't even just trying to sell their old parts... people are using the Sale section like its their personal Ski Hawking business.

Frankly Im getting tired of it.

Ps. This is in no way intended to call or single out any one individual... but rather just point out a trend ive noticed as of late.

What I really like about that is many of the frequent sellers here don't buy a $10 subscription to help keep the site running. It's not required, but seems like if you're making money here you'd like to help keep it around.

No reason to buy the cow when you get the milk for free I guess, maybe we should charge for posting items for sale like other forums do?

Subscription? First I've heard of it.

$10.00 sounds reasonable. PAYPAL?

Let me know.

You really have to disregard 90% of of the used items being sold by any motorsports enthusiast. If you cannot get a dozen high definition pics and a return policy then the person is just offloading junk and they know it.

system works pretty well so far imo.
why fix something that's not broken?
buyer beware no matter what. however, fox is right about some less than perfect goods being passed on to unsuspecting members but we should all do our homework before handing over $$.
if not sure,ask questions.

even the legit companies in our sport dont do this, TBM offers a 30 day from sale return policy on brand new stuff

i have had a deal go wrong recently, where i sold something that was not to the buyers liking, i had bought it, never fitted it, and sold in the same month at the same price, ended up the part was damaged and i hadnt noticed it, i ended up sending the guy an additional part that cost me $120 to keep him happy, the guy i bought it from didnt give two sh!ts

at the end of the day the parts on here are used, you roll the dice you take the chance

it just kinda ticks me off, as I'm building a ski for a friend, and almost every single thing ive purchased (and from pretty reputable members here, all well known posters) has each needed a subsequent purchase to make the first one complete... ie missing parts, or just wrong parts completely...

So every time theres something like this I have to go back to my friend to get him to buy something else.... Its becoming a very slow and consuming process. If it were my parts id be furious.

Its just all a bunch of nikading.

I agree. If you're going to make money off of this site (intentionally)... subscribe to it.

It's $10. Thats less than lunch.

I'd rather not see fees for posting items though.

Just my $.02.

i think most people on here are very good and honest but in life there is always things that can go wrong, ask many questions, watch out who you deal with, ask if part is no good can i get money back, be careful pictures sometimes look better than in person.i have bought 5 jet skis thru this site and a lot of parts , we are lucky to have this site and have saved lots of money and i made some good dollars selling skis all from the x.i wondered that also some of the frequent sellers cant afford 10 dollars bunch of cheapos
