Whats the deal?

I think I'm going to subscribe, and I haven't really been on here that long. But I have to say this forum and its members have offered up a ton of information to a jetski "noob". I would have had alot of learning todo on my own if I wouldn't have learned about this forum. So I figure its only right to contribute back to it.

On a side note, I have already bought a few items from some members on here, and I can say that I even had a member that was willing to lug some parts with him to a freeride, so I could pick them up.

For sale fees & Subscription/requirement

Although I have not subscribed, (need a non paypal option) I feel compelled to say that most likely there have been many parts bought & sold on this site to paying members and nonpaying members who were very satisfied with their transactions. If the X requires a per post fee for for sale items, many members might not get the parts they need as fast, or as cheap as they can now. Certainly, the subscription payers only in the for sale section would be preferable to a per post fee. IMHO Again, a option to paypal would be awesome.

Why would it take any longer? You pay the fee before the post is approved. How should that change the delivery times. And your only talking 1-2 bucks. Like that is going to kill anybody.

What if it only targeted those who post a hundred things each month?

I don't think we should be charged for posting if we only sell a few things here and there. I love searching for parts on this site & I enjoy selling parts here, and I usually list them cheaper on here for other members than I would if I were selling it on eBay just because I'd rather it go to someone here.

But maybe each member should only be able to sell 5-10 parts a month or so and then anything over a set number then they would be charged a listing fee.

...just my .02

This sounds like the best option I have heard so far.

There won't be a per post fee for selling, we're just giving an example of how mtbr.com is setup.

Sellers with out pay pal would not be able to sell, thereby reducing the total amount of parts available. It's not the price... It's the method of payment.

Its kinda off topic but something that could generate some more $$ for the site. What I have seen in the past that worked quite well was a option to make your post a sticky for a week. I think it costed $4 in order to so do. It got so popular that they were taking up 1-2 full pages of stickys.
