I like buying this kinda stuff in bulk. Where do you get these or what are they called? Is this still the most popular way to attach foot straps in the tray (did it maybe 12 years ago using these)?

Thanks!

I got those same inserts at Home Depot. I don’t think they were SS but looking at the blow soon picture I don’t think those are either...

There's those, but they look like they're not as course. Composites probably more like softwood than hardwood (?) I dunno. Probably depends on how good your layup is!.

This is your better option. Would never drill thu a deck to offer a compromise of allowing water to get into the foam, or air compartment on aftermarket hulls. You simply use plexus adhesive to the deck, and use the appropriate length screw

Adhesive-Mount Nut, 316 Stainless Steel, 1/4"-20 Thread Size, 1-1/2" Base Diameter

Great idea! Never even thought of using those outside the engine compartment. Thanks!!

Anybody ever have luck finding these in metric?

I remember a few years ago I ordered them, and they didnt have Metric available, so I did a little more searching on their website a couple days ago and there they were!

I was in the same boat, just didn't take the extra step to check. Seems like a relatively new item in metric on the McMC site. Happy to see it exists now.
