So my engine bay has the square nose sag. Found the perfect use for the leftover resin and put it in there to level the area before I put the hood seal on. Prepped for paint and plan on painting the bottom tonight.

Finished turf today. Starting to see the finish line. Once I get a couple more bucks I'm going to buy a set of 2016 superjet graphics for it.

Finally rode today. I'm running somewhere between 23:1-25:1. Its just too much dang oil my plugs hate me lol. I'm going to add some plain gas and buy a couple sets of new plugs and try tuning it again. My rings did seat thankfully and I've got 155 and 153 compression.

dude that is the nicest before/after ive seen yet! love the grey color, orange is a little gotti for my taste but it still looks good, nice job!

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. Someone had asked me at the beginning to share the final cost of the ski. Right now I still want to buy a graphics kit from a 2016 round nose. Hurricane industries has them for about 200, but I applied for a sponsorship through them, so hoping I get accepted and the cost drops. but ill break it down for now.
Ski- 100$
VXR pro (for 701 engine)- 180$
Turf, pad, hood seal, glue- 110$
Pistons and rings- 35$
Paint for engine- 10$
foot holds- 40$
Carbon Fiber/ fiberglass/ resin- 65$
Fuel lines, water lines, hose clamps- 20$
misc tape, sand paper, brushes- 20$
many, many beers ????
So you could say im at roughly 600 and will be roughly at 800 after the graphics, when its all said and done. I'm pretty happy with that. I know I couldn't have bought it for that, and I know exactly how its built since I did it myself.

That's pretty insane considering I spent over 2000 cad where I live for mine , albeit running condition. Still we would NEVER find anything like that for those prices here, you guys are lucky

How much did that paint job cost in materials?
Technically nothing but at one point in time I did buy paint to paint my old cummins and this was left over. Ive painted skis with automotive base, clear before, and ive gotten it all at oreillys for under 100$.

So ive had a couple x2s over the years and ive always loved them. Last summer I had a 650sx for a short time. That was my first true standup. After getting this superjet dialed in, and putting 2-3 hours of ride time on it. IM IN LOVE! I rode a friends 650 square nose over the weekend and im so thankful I put the 701 in and didn't rebuild the 650 that was in it. Im so happy with my first superjet and I cant wait to ride it all summer.

Piston set was crazy inexpensive...!

If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the hood seal (and turf) ?\

Looks great. I like your idea of running a lot of oil. 25:1 may be just a bit too much for the plugs, as you mentioned.
