this is my ski i have been letting Evan borrow.

my xs1000 is down getting rebuilt. i swapped a 61x 701 WetJet motor directly in place of it.

for what it is, its a little ripper.

So the only thing changed is the PF pipe? the rest is all WetJet?

The WetJet motor came stock with the more desired 61x motor (46mm carb, WestCoast Head, WestCoast Intake manifold, WestCoast Exhaust (which we modified to try to use, but didn't fit in the hull do to the Superfreak tray being to far forward... works in an RN SJ no problem))

the xs1000 setup is as follows:

-xs1015cc motor (w/49mm full spec carbs), 145 setback mag (13/19 prop), powerfactor pipe, total loss ignition

this setup is as follows:

-61x 701 WetJet motor (w/single 46mm carb), 145 setback mag (13/19 prop), powerfactor pipe, stock ignition

The WetJet jetting of the 61x motor was in my opinion almost perfect for the powerfactor pipe. only thing i had to do was tickle the hi and low adjusters a bit. i have done TONS of WOT for minutes at a time. plugs look perfect.

only thing this 701 setup really needs to a different pitched prop and to run the exhaust a little hotter.

you can feel more power down low immedietly after doing a WOT run when the exhaust is nice and hot.

and i never did say: good job Evan! keep it up man. next summer might have to sponsor you for a regional event or 2.

That is one mean sounding Wetjet 701 motor!!! It seems like it should have no problem flipping that ski with that motor. Keep it up! Progression takes a lot of failed attempts....we were all there/still there.

the prop is the biggest problem... it is pitched for a 1000cc motor.

mid and high is good, but bottom is lacking a bit.

you can "feel" the motor wants to rev down low, but takes the smaller motor a bit longer to turn the taller prop.

Awesome! I am rebuilding a wetjet kraze motor for a RN now and was wondering how it would do. Have any more details on the wetjet the pipe mod?

Thanks andrew, i will learn the flip this year, barrel roles next year and competitions next year hahah. I have never ridin a 701 like this one, it is so jumpy low end and it keeps up with a 96 polaris 760 twin sit down top speed.
