Since everyone seems so interested the how much everything weighs it's about time we weigh our motors.

I weighed my 66e tonight. I included:
  • motor
  • stator
  • flywheel
  • starter
  • coupler

not included:
  • carbs
  • exhaust manifold

85.5 lbs

My complete 951 weighs 127LBS with the EXTREMELY heavy oem pipe, starter, motor plate, relatively heavy PTO/coupler and billet head. (look at post #28 for reference). So subtract at least 25-30lbs for a fair comparison.

OEM 650 motor longblock (stock exhaust, but no fw/stator) weighs 83lbs per my scale.

So 701/760 should be very close to that.

So the 64 dollar question is, how much does a 62t case engine with the same components weigh in at???

you think you can fit some drypipes in that conversion ski?. I couldn't find room in a lowered hood standup but maybe you could run them higher. I have a cheap set of factory dry pipe for sale, would like to see them go to a 66e conversion instead of a coucher.

I might have more room under my hood than you. :dunno:

what are you asking for it?

I had heard it said somewhere that the 66e platform was about 20lbs heavier than the 62t. I would guess that it might be a little more than that.
