What Reed valves do you run?

I forgot!
Boysens Rad valve or V-force delta 2? Which ones are you running? i heard that there was a noticeable difference when upgrading from the stockers. Do they both make the same power and last as long or is one kind way better? gonna be running them on a 62t with single 48 powerbomber.

I am running the reg cages with boyesen power reeds right now. But I just picked up a set of RADs on ebay and they should be here this weekend. I am running a single 44 on a 650 kawi manifold. I will let you know how they work.

if funds allow, i'd suggest getting the manifold from ATP. the riva kit that uses the 650 kawi manifold really sucks for airflow, seeing as its tiny. GO with the ATP, you wont regret it.

hmmm, for now i want to keep running the single 48 and so would consider getting that atp manifold with vforces. i would think that that combo would make a good improvement. does the rad valve not fit on the 650 conversion manifold or do you have to run a boysen intake? whats the deal with the boysens? i don't know anyone who runs them.

I run VForce2. I really don't know if it makes a big difference, as I installed a ported cylinder, Total loss, and those reeds all at the same time.

Do the VFII's really make that much a difference anyone know? Or should it be more of a last addition after you port, pipe, prop, and head?

longer petal life? the ATP looks like a spacer plate with the manifold welded to it. Do you know if it needs a spacerplate as well?

With the ATP you may need to use a spacer just to pull the carb away from the motor. I did. The ATP looks like it has a built-in spacer, but in reality its a clever thre-piece design. The runners are machined billet halves, welded together, and the other piece (that which you mentioned looks like a spacer) is the billet mounting flange.

Chuckie at Team Scream did some additional work on mine (slight epoxy reshaping) and it seems to perform quite well, but I never ran them without is rework, so I couldn't tell how much difference it made.

I was running v force and sunk the ski and blew the reeds out .
In a pinch I installed the stock reed cages with Boysen 2 stage reed.I noticed a diff.
when I re-instaled the V's I noticed the diff more so.
I now am running the M-16 intake from R&D.
It's alot like the V's but billet with 2 stage reeds.

It Rocks !!!!

I like them so much I found they work great in my snowmobile too!!!
