blowsion vs. xmetal trim system?

the blowsion cost almost $400 dollars more, $695 vs. $325 but is there a reason why? is it that much better or just because its a blowsion product the price goes up? the mods i have to my ski are a factory bpipe, jetted, lightened flywheel, intake grate, and impeller if that helps. i do flatwater and more rec style riding. i just want to know witch is better because i have 325 right now but am wondering if i should keep saving. also this is for a squarenose 701 superjet. thanks!

If your going to compare XM to Blowsion you should also consider Thrust Innovations.... One of my buddies runs the XM setup, it works okay & its hard to beat for the price.... But you can't go wrong with the Thrust setup, its bullet proof, all Billet, top notch stuff.... I think Brian has a deal going on them right now. Just a thought, never seen the Blowsion setup. I can think of 5 locals that run the Thrust setup

The Blowsion system is a complete trim system. The Xmetal one is not.
Compare apples to apples: The complete Wamilton's trim costs $995, and the complete Thrust system costs $750.

The Xmetal product website is pretty clear about what's included and what isn't.
You don't get the exit nozzle and the steering nozzle.
Blowsion gives you a nice aftermarket steering and exit nozzle and also a trim tube.
With Thrust and Wammer you get the EZpull pulley system.
Wammer gives you a nice metal exit nozzle.

No, that won't work.
You need to use an exit and steering nozzle that are set up for trim.
The xmetal website tells you what nozzles you need

XM or Thrust you have to buy a 62T Raider, etc Reduction nozzle or Pro Tec Maxi Flow Reduction $50-125 depending which way you go.

Not sure about the XM steering nozzle, but the Thrust you can run a cheap GP800 plastic steering nozzle $35-40 new... Thats what I run on my surf ski or the Pro Tec steering nozzle for flatwater (1000cc brap) that nozzle cost $100-150 depending on if you have some weight shaved off, etc.....

so the blowsion ones the best? for me atleast?

Depends on your budget and how much work you're willing to do yourself.
Buying a system like the Blowsion or Wammer is nice because you get everything you need. You won't have to chase anything else down, no guessing at components, etc.

I recently went through a similar decision and ended up buying a complete system.

X-Metal all the way. We ran the Blowsion trim on our demo BOB, and I personally didn't like it for many reasons (a significant number of riders weren't big fans of it either). We switched to the X-Metal trim on EVERY ski that we built, and haven't had a single issue with any of them. No broken trim cables or bent steering cables. Definitely the best bang for your buck!

you arent going to flatwater flip with your stock hull square nose.

I think your money is best spent elsewhere on your ski.
