Superfreaks are on many peoples minds so I figure there should be a thread to talk 'freaky'

In reading the Rickter talk thread I learned there are some minor oddities to assemble one like shortening the pump bolts and was to assemble the motor mounts.
Are there any things that people have run into assembling there Superfreaks or is it real straight forward just transfer everything from your round nose over to your SF?

It will take some time to assembly your new Superfreak.... These are very custom ski's that require attention to detail to assemble... Bolt lengths need to be checked, Threads cleaned. I know Me, Lucas, Blake placed all the inserts inside the hull for straps, layed in with Carbon, etc.

I'm sure there's a few details I forgot

So the SF hulls do not come with the inserts in them already? If not, are any of the inserts installed? ie pump, motor mounts, midshaft???

Motor, Midshaft, Pump are installed by Tem...

The inserts for the pipe, battery, waterbox, etc are normally done when assembled.... Since we are running small tanks, dry pipes its nice because we have strap in the right place...

Tem supplied the inserts, & carbon cloth. It takes about 30 min to install all the inserts, let dry for 24 hrs. & your good to go...

I'm sure for someone running a stock motor, bpipe, SJ tank Tem can install the inserts. Just ask him

Cool deal !!! I have NEVER messed with glass/carbon etc and really would rather NOT screw up a brand new hull. (if I ended up with a SF)

I must say this about Tem, I am one of those guys that has learned to research until there is no more research to be had, and then research some more and he has been soooooooooooooo patient with my dumbazz!!! I talked to Art for 3 years off and on before I spent a dime with him and now I wouldn't spend my money anywhere else as far as engines, fuel, and ignition go. You can always tell the truly sincere guys by who has the most patience!

I really feel that Tem is one of the few top notch guys in the business!

FYI, since I am going with a fairly standard setup (B-pipe, standard battery location, etc), Tem is doing the inserts for me.

alright i'm going to give some feedback about my hull after some messing around this weekend. after many hours of talking with tem about how i wanted a ski that could flip and still ride great he talked me into a -4.3 hull like josh and lucas's even though i'm 260lbs. i could not be any happier with that choice as of today. right now i'm riding with a ride plate that sticks out about two inches from the hull. jet dynamics intake grate with a wdk1200 setup and a 148 mag pump 15/20 prop.

most of the time i ride surf stance and the ski rides nose down just like a normal sj except it handles way better! i think the little extra weight i have in the front of ski from the battery up front and bigger motor helps plant the ski a little better. you can carve, you can cruise, and when you have both feet in the foot holds you can bring the nose up for a back flip.

i'm fighting with low end cavitation right now. i'm going to pull the pump apart again this week and make sure there is no air leaks and silicone it up good. as of right now it's blowing the 15/20 away off idle and slow speeds. after you get it moving a little bit the ski is a rocket. for a 52lb hull you would never think about holding it wide open for more then a second or two. superjetbrett and i were out testing today and did a few 5-10 second wot passes. i don't know how fast it's going, but it's crazy feeling! we were stoked riding it all day, neither of us could believe how well of an all around boat this is.

if anyone picks a superfreak for a hull i don't think they will be unsatisfied in anyway!

I know the previous generation Superfreaks rode and handled awesome so I can't even imagine how well the new Badass hull performs.
