Edit: scuffing is done with a maroon scuff pad. Kind of like a brillo pad.

Have you tried the 3m gray pads? They are a little finer than the red pads.

Just going by the HOK Tech Manual. They specifically call for the Maroon scuff pad.

Where does the green pad fit in, btw?

I sprayed more clear today. It is baking right now and I'll probably let it cure until at least Sunday.
I also got the hull titled and registered - the legal way. This was a huge concern of mine and I had been dreading it.
But it was super-easy and done in 10 minutes.

did you do anything to pretty up the inside?...sand down the edges, clear, reinforce, etc?

No need to reinforce I figure.
I didn't do anything to pretty it up, either. Would have been even more sanding and even more clear coat. In the end, I just didn't care enough for the inside to be shiny.

I did some sanding and cleared my engine bay.....see my build thread. I have one pic there. I will post some more tomorow....hopefully the paint will be done by then.

I installed the pole last night and the midshaft carrier. I was busy most of the day preparing our garden for planting veggies next weekend.
All of next Friday is dedicated to turfing.

I have two of them, but the bunk spacing is too wide. I think they are couch stands.
I also have an AC scissor stand, but it's too low.
Besides, the bunks on the beach cart are rubberized, protecting the bottom for a few days longer.
