I don't like dirt bikes as much as quads. I think it might be because you drift with a quad and corner with a bike. In either case...
My Warrior 350 just doesn't have as much oomph as I can handle. I'd like something that is more powerful than my riding ability, rather than being limited in my ability by power.
With that said, I got more info on the YFZ450 and decided that it's not for me. I would love to ride a bike like that on a regular basis, but I've been informed that it is a straight up race machine. It's said to be the fastest stock quad you can buy, but it's actually the fastest stock race quad you can buy. I was told that the quad is not a recreational bike that can easily be put on the track, but rather a race bike that some people ride recreationally. I was told that if I do purchase a YFZ450, I had better be ready to be repacing the race style piston at least once a year. Possibly more often with how I ride. Words from the dealer, who hated to give me info that would stray a purchase, but wanted to make sure I would be informed.
My Warrior 350 will run forever on just oil changes and clean filters. Being in school on a limited disposible income, I don't really want a bike that is going to be a lot of maintance. I want to ride, not wrench.I'd never race pro so it's not holding me back to not upgrade. I certainly would like more power. Maybe one day I'll buy some Elkas and a big bore for my warrior.
