  • hey, so i think om getting a newer sj did you have to jet your carb. mine is from miami so its at sea level
I was suposed to be going this thursday and pick it up but they have not recieved shippment of it yet. so I am still am waiting for it, and now I am ski less because I sold my 750; I managed to get 3000 for it.
This is usually the weekend I go out for the first ride but I guess that wont be happening.
Shop rates in Alberta are way to expensive!!
Did you pick up the SKI? I got my new Bpipe but i'm looking around to find a place to bore my cylinders every where is $$$ 150 a hole.
What pitch is that prop? I was thinking of putting one of those on, a pump cone, scoop grate, and some bars with ODI grips right off the bat. Then throw on some foot holds and turf after a few weeks of riding.
To put on a girdled head on are other parts needed? or other mods like porting or anything like that? I wont have any warranty so I not worried about doing mods.
not having a garage sucks. I can relate to that. It looks like my sppedwerx pipe is sold, so i'll be buying a Bpipe when to money come in. I can't wait. Let me know what parts your going to start looking for? for the SJ. I have a spare girdled head and a SS prop. along along with alot of little tricks here and there.
I thought about getting used but I am getting a really good deal on a new one, out the dealers door $6100, then the gst when I get across the boarder then about $200 for gas and food. So I think it is worth getting new in this case, but I have to wait till the begining of May, but thats not that bad since the lakes are still frozen untill then anyway. I will have to give ya a shout when it comes time for mods. I was thinking of making some ride plates so I could try different size of D cuts and see what one I liked most. As for the 750 there is a guy coming to look at it on monday. ya I ahve to go to my parents house to use the garage, cuz the house I am living in has none.
I've got lots of experience with fiber glass and foot holds , i've made my own 247 hood and foot hold chin pad, everything is my own, i couldn't justify buying anything that i could make myself. ride plates too. but since i've moved out west i haven't been able to do any glass work. no garage. I just moved out here in January so I'm farily new to the area. If u need a hand at all for doing some mods i'd be glad to give you a hand. there is a few mods that'll get you well on the way, with out any cash. do you still have the 750?? Have you looked around for a SJ with some aftermarket parts already on it? there was one in MT not that long ago.
I'll keep an eye out for you.
Moved to Calgary for some work experience. the person you talking about is paul king he's been riding for years. It looks like my Friend brian and I will be headin to havasu this yr. I may compete in amateur freestyle. What do you ride? I would be up for some surf riding for sure.
