This is the boat I built last summer, Its got a huge brushless outrunner motor and runs on 3s lipo. The boat started as a $50 kids toy that maybe did 5mph tops and hardly turned. It flat rips now and will prob do closer to 30mph. Not bad for a jet pump

I saw those, I will prob pick one up and put a jet pump in it and a brushless setup. I did that to a cheap rc jet sprint boat, turned out awesome!!!

My addiction for stand ups has got my 3yr old son hooked now as well so I'm always looking for jet ski related toys for him to play with in the off season. I just picked up this one from amazon. Its pretty slick, very "SXR" looking.

I believe the pet refreshes 20 times per second, that is what makes it a better tach for tuning, the tiny tach refreshes twice per second and is fine for monitoring rpm but is not readable accurately enough for tuning. Like others have said, you gotta drop some coin to do it right.

I love my tubbie 2's but they are a HUGE pain to install, Id do what icerocket said and get destroyers. You wont be disappointed

Forgot to add that, I did put in a jetnetics flywheel too. I went with the plate bc of reliability, the am ignitions seem to catch a bad wrap and didnt want to chance it. I have the later ignition that adds a little timming anyway and have a good backup.

Ive thought about it A LOT, just have too much invested in this motor to dump it now
