Alright - I just figured that it MAY have been a possibility with the additional deflection put onto the prop while the trim was at a 45° angle...

Do you think it could have been something to do with your trim kit putting additional pressure on the impeller fins?

Well, here we go - I started off last year with a completely modd'd JS 550... it had it all, but it wasn't enough for me... then the ski bumped into a dock, and needed some repair to the nose. I decided to rebuild the entire thing with the addition of a 650 motor. I will let the pictures...

Again, when you hit the kill switch, does it actually shut down the engine? If the engine shuts off by hitting the kill switch, it is not necessarily an air leak... The engine just isn't leaded up, and it can idle freely... thus raising RPMs. Is it going WIDE OPEN?

If you hear a buzzing sound, it's one of two things. Either you have a porr connection from the ebox to the starter, or your starter is bad - Even if you bench test it and it spins freely, it may not under a load(trying to turn over the motor)
