I feel like a real dumbass, but how to I get to the two rear 10mm bolts. I don't see them, I assume they are behind the adjusters. I just want to be carful considering they have been on for 20+ years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do I remove the adjusters to access the bolts securing the ride plate? I assume the bolt head is behind the large adjuster with the two holes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I believe it is the original stock ride plate. There are inserts for the larger bolt heads. I will try with some vice grips.

It has been a while since i have done this, and this should be a simple process. What is the best tool and/or method for removing the stock bolts on the rear of a 1995 SJ ride plate. I have a new one to install and don't want to butcher anything in the process.

I am interested in your hitch hauler? Do you still have it?
