no, it's not be a pain to take off the tape, because, you put 3 or 4 layer of tape that you cross at each layer , after that you can take it off easyer , just need to catch the first layer , and glue it on daily news paper . the first time I had do that , it's , with Wamilton himself ;-))

you can find styrofoam at Home depot in pink color , i take 3 panel in 2 inches and 2 panel in 1 inch, for $110
