This SJ was on Ebay over here in the UK not long back.......100% a fake company guys.
Well ive seen a fr2 evo get stuffed into the sea bed (under rotated flip) at the UK IFWA last year and there was not a mark on it. It was hard enough to break all 4 mounts and smash the coupler but that was it......no damaged to the hull.
I have had mine for around a year now and it hasnt got...
Edge feels more 'flickable' due to the shortened rear and high speed surf riding is impressive.
I'm not sure id spend the extra cash to upgrade from the evo but I've not had my evo for a year yet....maybe in the future.
Like all the other guys have said the fit and finish is typical Rickter...
I ride my Rickter mostly in the surf but in the summer when it's normally flat i just go for a coastal ride and never seem to have any problems. Remember the Rickter holds can be removed in a matter of minutes by unbolting them.
My rope is clipped in place on the fire wall where my pole limiter D shackle is on my Rickter. I the put it against the ski held by the tension of the pole limiter rope. Seems to work well for me and is easy to access when i need it.
My rope is pretty long as we have to run down a river for...
Seems alot of riders in the U.S ride in surf stance all the time. I ride surf stance (left foot in a strap right in a hold) to surf ride only, then lock in both feet at the back to roll and flip (which i dont do well haha).
my current suit situation -
Billabong 5/3 intruder steamer
2.5 mm wet suit socks
Oneil thermal under top (Best thing i've bought)
MTB gloves as i run hot hand grips (lovely and toasty)
Would a 155 be better than a solas mag in white water surf? I'm running a stock pump at the moment and the surf was pretty sloppy yesterday and my pump was cavitating more than normal.
I will be upgrading very soon so spotting this thread has made me think if this would be a better option.
Also...
Yeh they are indeed. A lot of top riders in the UK are buying them or already have them. I rode a footrocket with a SS 964 a few weeks ago and was inpressed with it.
Can't go wrong with a Rickter mate :-) I love mine!
I'd go with a set up of the same make, therfore designed for each other. That said i do have a cold fusion steering system and Blowsion risers (Fat bar).
+1 On hot hands! I ride with mountain bike gloves all year round over in our cold UK waters. I've drilled and tapped my bars and have water running through my bars and spraying on my palms by holes in my grips.....lovely and toasty :-)
