Josh, It kinda funny seeing the ski flying around a lake like a rec boat.. Tem has been doing some very nice work on those hulls. That ski looks to have plenty of power...
My best friends kid ranked up there a few years back in bmx. (Dave my buddy wraped his bike and stuck it up in the attic to give to him later in his life) So remember that when your kids do something awesome..
Some days we hit the beach here in florida and always see a few guys our age...
Once you see these motors up close it makes our motors look small. (my motors still a baby compaired to your cc) the rods look huge and cylinders look impressive as usual... 50mm carbs.. iiiikes.. good thing you have your pilots license..
Not to thread jack but whats there new ski going to...
1) I see hulls not droping in price. engines and parts are not going to drop. Not saying you can't find that deals at times they are still out there but not as often.
2) Making parts and selling them is not a easy business as other posts seem to read.
3) This sport is not going to take off...
I like some of your ideas, I'll let the cat out of the bag a little.. Tom has a lot of good ideas for the fx1's. Keep you eyes open on tom's stuff :ugh:
Good question I would guess bilet cylinder weighs more. But inside a stock crank and light weisco pistons has less rotating mass
the bilet 8 mil with the stroker crank uses kawasaki pistons and they are heavier and makes more rotating mass
Mine is the power valve 8mil with 82mil pistons it's a 802.. I would put that small bore against a 827/865 any day but again if the crank goes it is expensive to replace
A little biased but true. if you need to run a stock type cylinder to be in a special class than cool but other than that go with the 865..
865 advantages, they start at 827 and many bore to go. power valves to better liener power. they will have better resale value.
stock cranks, one day to...
Your garage is filled with my junk... You have a shop and you clean it often. You just have a lot going on.. It's fine just like that hood the lines on the square look great. Can't wait to hear a ride report..
