how fast should a starter turn. i just bought an aqua starter and it worked for a trip and now it wont turn the motor over. so i took it out and hooked it up and it probably only spins 20rpm.

how do you guys put the cooling hoses on the stock fitting coming from the pump. it looks to be 1/2 in. but the hose is 3/8.
