Haha I've broken a Reed and bent a butterfly on one of the carbs at the same time. Tried to put a plug loosely threaded halfway in too early and the water pressure broke the Reed and bent the butterfly on the front cylinder. One of those mistakes that only happens once haha.

91 440 with a Reed engine swapped in.

It should let air through one way and not the other. If it let's air through in both directions it's bad. Should only let air into the tank not out

When you change the airbox out for a open filter, you must lower your popoff pressure to compensate. Keihin makes 3 different springs that I'm aware of. You'll need a small air pump to test it. I'm not sure what stock popoff pressure is on a keihin but try to get the popoff around 20-25psi and...
