Anyone have a cap for the fire extinguisher compartment on a RNSJ? Mine is cracked and takes on water constantly. Tried fixing with marine epoxy and won't stick for more than one ride.
The pool test is a great idea but also fill the tray with water. That will insure you sealed it properly inside the tray. When I filled mine, I was leaking water into the engine compartment from the steering tube.
If you decide to remove it all including the rails you may as well do a Rickter...
Also, yes to the pink foam. I would add small drain plugs in the back as well and test them for water tight before sealing everything back up. If you decide on adding a foot strap or two, I can give details on how I did mine. I'm not a fan of footholds, I prefer surf stance with straps. The way...
Good idea. My brother and I defoamed ours this past winter. Filled the trays with water after 5200'ing everything. It took mine 3 different times of filling with water/emptying and drying everything off and redoing 5200 to finally stop all the leaks. You would be surprised how easy water can...
Ill check the plug wires, I may just order new ones and replace the old ones all together. I just remembered reading on the Mikuni PDF that 3 turns out is the stock setting on the high flow knob from the factory. Mine was roughly at 2.5 and i turned it to 3. I only have a single carb on my...
So no more than 2 turns on the high speed adjuster? It idles fine in and out of the water. It even revs up fine out of the water. I still a complete noob at this carb/engine stuff. I am not sure what you mean by re jet bigger or jetted up. I am not sure jets are in the carb. I would just...
I have a 93 kawa 750 sx, with a decent amount of aftermarket parts on it. I bought it already modded. When I originally purchased the ski, I dropped it in the water last summer and for some reason it would not go faster than 5 mph. Out of the water hooked up the hose it sounded great. I took...
Thank you Billman! How do you get to the screws that hold on the tray pads? If I order the Hydro Turf side pad rail cover kit (http://compare.ebay.com/like/150951483462?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar), would these go right over the factory purple ones or would i need to remove...
How do you remove the stock chin pad from the ski? I read there are 4 bolts underneath the hand-pole holding it on but i cant seem to locate them. Also, how do you remove the stock purple side pads? Do they just pop off? I cant seem to find anything on the net that explains this very well.
