Okay it's been a while but during the off season I decided to put on a stock ride plate to see how it compared and WOW!! It makes the ski so much smoother and faster over the extended plate!! Both choppy and smooth water conditions are much much better. I can run WOT all day now!
My theory is...
I shortened my stock pole 2.8" and rode it yesterday and that along with having an added day of learning to ride I can finally keep the ski in the water!
The shorter pole really helps me keep the ski down and get in a more aggressive stance and riding edges helps a lot.
I'm having the same problem buddy. Anything more than 1/4 throttle on my superjet and I'm constantly up down up down. I have never hit top speed on it because it just won't stay in the water.
I even have a R&D extended ride plate the worx intake grate.
I am still deciding where I want to mount it. It doesn't bother me under the hood because I only need to prime it once and then it's good for the rest of the day. I have a minki single carb conversion and it seems to run great.
Sadly I haven't even made it through a full tank of gas though...
I just got me a 2001 Superjet with the 701 and a few goodies.
I have ridden it and so far she runs great but the primer kit was installed half assed.
What I can't figure out is where the best place to mount the primer would be. I'm a little hesitant to drill into the ski by the hood lock...
