Thank you all for the responses. I hope I can buy you all a beer one day.
I have the msd flywheel. Bought it brand new. When I get home from work I will try to figure out the fitment issues I am having with the wodruf key.
I will probably go the timing light route. Just out of curiosity can...
I have a rickter edge I am building and it is time to set up the total loss. For those wondering it will have a php780 with 175 psi, tnt v2 pipe, 48mm novis, and run pump fuel.
The TL is all wired. Now time to set the timing. I will be running 30 degrees of static timing.
First off this is...
Thanks. That's why I wanted people's opinions. If I could change my user name it could be Captain Overthinkin It. This is my first aftermarket hull and build and I am guilty of over thinking everything. When I did my SJ I'd jump into anything.
Thanks. I would like to get it perfect. Right now I do not see any flex on the shaft. I can lightlyrics tap the bushing in but definitely can't fling it in there.
I can't believe anyone could get this close without using the CF tool. Which makes me think it is probably good enough.
I was wondering if anyone can chime in. First build. Installing pump with CF alignment tool. It says it should slide smoothly. After trying combos of shims everywhere I got it very close. So close I can't even tell on which side it's catching. It takes very little pressure to get it through...
Bought m8 last night. It's definitely m10. I bought standard pitch m10 and those arent threading in. This is my first aftermarket hull. I should have bought a donor ski but couldn't find a good one. I have spent way too much time just trying to get the right bolts and lengths.
Putting together my rickter edge. I am getting ready to install my pump. I read on here that rickter's use shorter bolts for the pump than a superjet. Can anyone share some knowledge on what length? Thanks
Any tips for mounting my TL in my new Edge. I plan to run 2 tanks at some point so I'm not mounting on the firewall. I am planning on mounting the brain, relay, and shifty mod on a plate and the coils on another plate. I was going to use 2 ufo mounts to mount each plate then use appropriate...
I clicked on this not looking at which forum it was in and expected to see someone pioneering a new trick called the airbow with an 8 shot series and a camera shooting at 450 frames per second. I was wrong but that looks sweet.
Has anyone swapped there hand winch for one of these?

What about one of these? I have on on a ski boat trailer and it is great

I am also wonder this. Trying to figure out how to trailer my new Rickter Edge. I was wondering if anyone has used 2x6 as bunks then cut them to match the camber of the ski. I was thinking if the bunks were curved to make the ski it would be more stable and stress the ski less when tied down. I...
Stick with stock they are great for keeping water out and won't hinder performance. Get that ski running good then look to upgrade parts. You need a good foundation to build off.
