Just so everyone knows, I got 1/2 my money back on the cylinder and 1/2 my money back on the freight, not quite as much as I would have liked, but better than a kick in the nuts........
It's coming into summer here and I've had my ski running for a couple of weeks now.............. life is...
On average it takes 3 weeks to receive something by USPS so there was no point in emailing him sooner.
I don't doubt his workmanship...... but his reason for the delay was pretty lame.
I sent an impeller I brought of e-bay to David Stewart at Impros.com for repitch/repair.
I phoned him with my visa details on 25 August then e-mailed my delivery address. I live in New Zealand.
25 days later I had not received it so I e-mailed David to ask for the tracking number. He said...
Well 10 days ago I sent Kurt the following message as he wanted to know what I would like to do to sort this out, but no reply, so as posting here seems to be the only way to get noticed I'll try again, and for the books, trying to get hold of Kurt to sort this out has been nothing but a BIG...

9 weeks ago I purchased some used parts off Kurt to the total of $270, I also sent him 3 things I brought off e-bay as he was kind enough to say he could send them all together to save me...
Thanks for that, although I do understand how water is used to effectively lengthen a chamber........ but I am still unsure why a dry pipe is water jacket cooled.
This is what I just thought up, a dry pipe is water jacketed not because it needs cooling in fear of overheating/melting, but it...
Coming from a dirt bike background I do not understand why a jet ski expansion chamber is either water jacked or internally water sprayed......... a dirt bike can run at high load and low speed with a mud caked expansion chamber and not have problems.
Is it a safety issue in a jet ski if it...
Have you thought about using fuel proof silicone gasket/sealer....... the surface area of the joint looks quite wide so it would take a huge about of force to tear the silicon apart. It works for fish tanks :-) Probably wouldn't weight as much as other glues either..... just a thought.
Dean.
How about applying a rubber coat to the inside, like that liquid rubber you apply to tool handles, tip some in and [try] and roll the hull around to coat it all.
