Thanks! I bought this ski and it already had this turn plate on it, but after snapping two stearing ball studs, I realized that this must not be set up properly. Basically, the stearing cable reaches its full travel before the turn plate hits the bump stop (in both directions) so what gives...
Hey guys! Got her all back together today! Went with Pro X std pistons and honed the cylinders. The measured to be true and round, so i went the cheaper route. While i had the carbs aparts, i measured the pop off pressure. I was a little alarmed to see it at 85psi! Is this normal? It has...
Also one more question...what thickness cylinder base gasket would you guys suggest considering that I have the ADA o-ring head? The gasket that I removed from the engine measures .020". A friend of mine was saying I should go with a .016" for better low end power?
Ok. So I'll keep those size high and low Jets. Do you know what my fuel valve pop off pressure should be set at? Is stock seat/spring/needle sufficient?
Thanks guys!
So I pulled the carbs apart, they look nice and clean. They're running a 135 main jet and a 75 pilot jet. I'm still in between getting 81.25 pistons or just getting stock pistons and honing the cylinders. There's not really any deep grooves and the cylinders measure 31.189 throughout.
Do you guys all run 40:1? I'll take more pictures now.
Do you guys think I could get stock sized pistons and just hone the cylinders? Or should I go 81.25mm and get them bored?
I really appreciate the help and I'll go check my jet sizes too...
