Oh yeah I think I was following your build, you made a whole new nose shaped from foam. Your thread is one of the ones I got inspiration from. Keep it up, I'm eager to see how yours turns out
300 hours?? Wow I guess I really underestimated the nose. I wanted to just cut slits and shim it until I got the desired rocker. I didn't want to buy a kit just because I'd rather put that money into more goodies for the ski. I may rethink it now though. I don't know if I can get away with 300...
I've been running single cooling since I've had the ski because I like the stock bilge, I know I'm crazy. I have an electric bilge but I don't want to solely rely on it. My girlfriend rides this ski everytime I take it out and I like the peace of mind that as long as she is riding the water is...
Alright guys so I've been debating starting a thread for a while now, I hope I don't get roasted and told my work looks like dog *h*t. Anyways I got a 1990 square nose 650 completely stock a a while ago for 700 bucks, I threw a hooker 9/15 impeller on it, swapped a 62t/62t 701 in and got a b...
Put the 80 gram spring in and it's much better. It doesn't kill itself if I grab some throttle off idle. I actually have low end now. Still needs some tuning but I can ride and have fun now
Hey guys just looking for some opinions, I've done a lot of reading but would like some help from you pros I recently swapped out my 650 for a 62t/62t that I got for a great deal. It has a 760 intake manifold on it with dual 44's and I'm running a b pipe with limited chamber.
I looked up the...
Yeah it was the coil. Replaced it and it's running great now. Put About 20 gallons through it with the new coil with no issues. About to swap a 701 in it.
Update: pulled the reeds they look okay, worn but none chipped or broken. Had 2 coils lying around in the shop I work at so decided to try swapping that. Ski runs much better on land. Revs up much crisper with no misfiring. Won't be able to take it to the water for a bit with Christmas in a few...
That's mighty nice of you, I may take you up on that offer. So you believe it's electrical? I have a good cdi on the way. I might test my stator and see if it's all in spec. I don't know if my backfiring and rev limiter are connected
I know compression is low but I feel that is unrelated to what seems like a false rev limiter. I don't want to put any money into this engine I will be swapping a 701 in hopefully soon. I just am trying to figure out what is going on. I have videos of the problem where you can hear what it's...
Hey everyone I just got a superjet 650 that's bone stock for now. The ski looks great and ran great the first 2 times I took it out, but last weekend while I was riding it seemed to start hitting the rev limiter out of no where. I was on a lake so it's not like I was surf riding and hitting the...
