i have a motor ouf of a 1996 Wetjet Duo i know very little about. its installed in a 16 foor welded jon boat so i cant find out much about motor. was wondering if anyone had some info about this motor and maybe some upgrade info..it would be greatly appreciated

i was told it was a 701cc 61x yamaha motor if that helps any,,

the more i think about it all of this started happening after i refilled the gas tank..it had ran out then i stopped filled it up then about 5 mins later motor started shutting down the 1 cylinder..then after awhile it seemed to run fine then repeat

temp sensor coolant lines.. i took boat out and check the liner coming from the pump to the motor and its fine no clogs..as far as a temp sensor i dont even know if its hooked up or where its at?

I was driving my boat today and it was running perfect..after about 1h of riding i noticed that when i would give it over half throttle it would start to putter a bit..after a while it would get worse tot he point i would hardly go and i could just give it gas and it would bog out and never...

oil tank someone else suggested i do away with the tank also..where could i get a block off plate and what all would i have to do to make it work off just mixing the fuel myself and what would the ratio be?..thanks

thanks for the helo makes sense aout the hoses now..im slowly learning..i gave 2k for the boat n a brand new trailor and an extra motor..trailor is like brand new and boat is all welded..what is a wet pipe?

Thanks alot! and on the hoses ,there located on the outiside on the housing that holds the impeller the hose on the right runs directly to the bottom of the manifold and it was clogged with sand and the hose on the left just runs to the back corner of the boat and im unsure what it does?

heres some pics..i am still unsure of what motor it exactly is...was won dering if someone could help me with the cooling system..on the pump on the outside of there are 2 hoses running in 1 runs to the bottom of the manifold an dit was clogged and i fixed it the other just runs inside the boat...

sorry it rained all day here so i didnt get any pics taken..i ordered the whole pump assembly and it should be here weds so i hope that fixes my problem..i am still unsure of what size the motor is just know its a 95 and the drive shafts are all the same..i dont have the jet ski hull mounted in...

well i knew the impeller was chewed up pretty bad..when i take the boat out i can only goto about half throttle then it seems like the impeller is slipping and the motor revs out .

i will when i get home tommorow and i will post them its raining and dark outside as of now.

i spoke to mastercraft they said The impeller is $147.75 and the drive shaft is $188.10. But we currently have the complete jet pump assembly on sale right now for only $349.00....seems like a good deal??

ohh well hopefully i wont have to get into that..i am so new to this i feel like a total idiot at time but i am totally lost here...

i suppose i will hit up some local marinas and see if i could possibly get some advice..what clamp are you referring to??

any advice on the impeller once i get it off is it better to send off to be redone or buy a new one..that is if i can figure out what size it is of course

yeh at this point i will take any help i can get..the pics arent the greatest as its pitch black outside but i can take pics tom of any part that may help
