2014 Fall Carolina Beach Freeride at Freeman Park Discussion Thread!

Technically yes, any public waterway in NC requires registration, reg numbers, working fire extinguisher, and a whistle. Didn't see any patrol boats out there but the tickets are really pricey... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Stock 2006 engine bigger

84mm is generally considered max bore. 83 would be the max I would go, leaving you (hopefully) 2 overbores. But, you would notice more difference with porting, rather than simply an increase in displacement! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    My $400 score!!!! STOKED

Very nice score! But do yourself a favor and rebuild the 1200 carbs and check them over well before installing in the Blaster. I would hate to see you get it all done and burn up a piston from a lean condition! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Sbt cranks longevity?

I don't think we will see issues with them in short periods of time (1-3 years). It is further down the road where you can have potential failure, as their bearings are not superb quality. That being said, their quality as of today is far higher than in past years. I am a SBT dealer and...

Super Jet timing a new stator plate

I have seen some WSM plates that have no timing mark. Get what you pay for sometimes. If you have no mark, chances are very high that it isn't OEM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Super Jet Need a detailed pic or some advice. :(

If you want to send me your stator, I can scribe a mark on it from one of the other bosses as reference. That way you won't have to do any guesswork :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Carolina Beach Swap Meet / For Sale

Also - 95 SN hull that has had extensive glass work. Rounded nose, -4" in the rear, pole mount moved forward, fully reinforced, awesome lowered hood w/ dual brapp straps, nice footholds with turf and padding. She's not the prettiest but is strong and will hold up to anything. Hull is pretty...

Need some ideas on Hauling my ski around...

What about a long bed newer Ranger? They can be had pretty cheap. I would put a hitch hauler on the rear of the truck and use the bed for bikes, etc. Another possible option is this, my friend owns this company and builds the Tandem Tow dolly: http://tandem-tow.com/Models.htm Sent from...

Super Jet It just keeps getting worse. :(

There is normally a fair amount of brown grease in there that is from the bendix when it is greased from the factory. It gets slung around from bendix engagement. It looks like you may have more oil/grease there than normal, but it is difficult to tell because of the gray metal as to what...

Super Jet FML. So I pulled my flywheel cover and.....

BK - While your statement is technically true, that hole in the case (or other air leak, most commonly a blown out rear seal) would have caused a lean condition which would have melted off the exhaust side of the piston crown and certainly caused low compression. But, the OP is seeing the same...

Are you testing with throttle open? Leaky front seal rarely would cause a lean condition as the front cover is sealed as well. What compression are you getting? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
