08 rn winter build

This last summer I purchased my first superjet. The guy I got it from said he got it off his buddy who helped create the new hull design on the 08+ boats. He said this was one of the prototypes. It ripped all summer, the plans are wide tray, scupper, trim, maybe shorten pole, b pipe, head, pump cone, and most likely a new impeller.

While taking the motor out one of the motor mount bolts snapped on me so I'll have to chase it out. Also pretty sure I found the culprit of the soggy foam. Also, is there a way to replace this seal on the midshaft?

Has anyone else had bad luck with thrust? I ordered a ez drain from them and it came opened and missing the billet piece to the drain. I tried to email and call them but haven't had any luck.

Got pulled away from this project due to medic school but I found time this weekend to foam in my tray area, and started cutting out templates for my glass in the tray. Also did a little test fit for my bob holds, I better get cranking on this before it's too late and summer is here

Got the first layer of glass down and my new Ada head on. Hoping the glass work will be finished by this weekend. Also was testing out some epoxy enamel paint on my nose piece, thinking I might do the whole ski with it!

So Utah
that thing is tuned near perfect.

personally i'd open the top screws 1/4-1/3 turn. clean areas should be about thumbnail size.

dont you love glassing?

Well I decided to do a compression test on the motor with the new girdled head, got 175 in the front and 35 in the rear, pulled the cylinders off and found this...... Great... The cylinders don't have any deep gauges in them, what's the best way to attack this, bore it out or just get new pistons and rings
