SXR 08' sxr motor cutting out at wot

Ski runs real strong for 30 minutes of riding then if I run it hard (WOT) for a 2 minute period it will lose power and come to halt and sometimes even cut off. It seems almost as if the engine is flooding. I do have a primer kit on it which most of the time starts it back up. When it first cuts out sometimes it struggles to start again. Sounds as if the motor is flooded... Any suggestions?? Thanks

you might have an oncoming issue if you do not sort out this problem, i had my ski do the same and then once it plainly died and i had blown a hole in the rear piston..
so you might want to inspect all cooling lines that they are not clogged, i think mine had the outlet from the head which was clogged and then it didn't cool the engine enough so...

just a thought =)

Is the fuel switch on reserve? My sxr dies wfo if the fuel switch is on reserve. Turn it to on, no problem.
