I have a 97 kawasaki stx 1100 sith the cdk ii carbs on it. I've never been had good luck with kehin carbs and I can never get them right. I just rebuilt the carbs on this ski and I obviously did something wrong because it won't iddle and has a bog from 0 to 1/4 throttle so I know it's in the low speed circut. They have the proper pop off and no leaks that I can see. I've played with the low speed adjustments with no real change.
I've given up on those carbs. But I know some people swear by them.
I just bought a set of GP 1200 carbs ( mikuni sbn44s ) and the speed plate to make them work on my 1100. I know mikunis and have WAY better luck with then.
I just wanted some input on what jets, springs and needle and seats that I'll need to get it running properly with a little tuning. I know this has been done several times before but the great Ole Google is failing me at the moment. Trust me I've searched.
I need info on needle, seats and springs ( with proper pop off pressure to make it work)
Proper low and hi jets and rough screw adjustments to get it close so I can fine tune it
And what all is involved to make the throttle cable work with that swap. It's my 10 year old sons couch that he rides. So it's important that I get it going for him...
