Well if you switched the whole box out then it wouldn't be the stator.
The stator is not part of the ebox.

It could just be the crank trigger pick-up sensor.

I agree.. could be voltage regulator..
I had same issue on a Kawi, swapped EVERY electrical part out with different ones, same issue, changed the voltage regulator, and bam.. worked.

The voltage regulator is inside the e-box and wouldn't be non-spark issue if the battery has sufficient voltage.

I have a 2000 GP1200R 66V stator assembly in stock and just noticed you have a 1999 GP1200 65U which are quite different.
I do have the 65U lightened flywheels in stock for $125 outright but if you need an early stator coil I would check on eBay or the green hulk for sale section.

The flywheel is a lightened stock 65U charging type but you'll need a 65U stator coil if you have a 1999 GP1200.

found one on green hulk hopefully the guy will hit me back?? looks like the tank has to come out to pull the flywheel ?? not sure I wanna take it that far apart right now but thanks for the offer. and the hulk refferal. got any parts for a 800 SXR??

I would only replace the flywheel if the magnets have impact damaged and removing the gas tank makes it a bit easier.
