1987 kawasaki 650sx Hood Seal

I searched the forum and did not come up with the answer I was looking for --- Hood Seal for 1987 Kawasaki 650sx Stand-Up Jet Ski

Does anyone have a source for an OE hood seal for the 1987 Kawasaki 650sx stand-up ski?

I see there are X2 seals available. Can I modify the X2 seal to fit the 650sx -- I'm thinking if the seal is long enough I can cut to fit.

As an alternative, I am considering the use of commercially available seals -- West Marine -- and making my own.

Does anyone have any experience with the hood seal?

Kawasaki discontinued the 650sx hood seal years ago. The only way you will get an OE one is used.
