Hey every one, I've been looking at a 1994 750 sx in the classifieds and I'm thinking about buying it, i have ridden js550's my whole, and i want to get mildly into free style, i know every one says get a superset, but for some reason here in california you cant find a 701 for under 2500$.
any ways i found this 750sx through a friend and the guy is only asking 1500, it is completely stock, the motor is clean and fires right up. the only down fall is the turf on the rails are almost completely gone. the bottom matt looks like its been used as a scraping post by a cat for a long time, also there is a huge chunk of the chin pad missing, it still has the original decals and they look just about as good as 22 year old stickers can look so I'm pretty sure its been stored inside its whole life its just that i feel that a cat got in someones garage at one point lol.
anyways my question is with a 2000$ budget at the moment do you guys think its worth it to make the 3 hour drive and buy this ski, also with a 2000$ budget i would have 500$ left and probably be able to come up with 500 more dollars of fun money before summer hits. in your opinions should i get the ski and redo the turf and possibly and use what ever is left to do a few mods? or wait and keep looking and buy a superset towards the end of summer?
the only thing that is holding me on this ski and asking your opinions is that it is completely bone stock and un molested. and to add to the story I'm not planning on doing flat water BF's I'm just looking to jump boat wakes maybe whale dives and possibly barrel roles in the future. just looking for a fun all around ski that is fun on lake days that i can do more than i could on my old 550.
please i need opinions, also what mods i can do with 800ish dollar left over after i re-turff it.
and also thank you every body in advance.
