1995 super jet motor

Just bought my first superjet I was told that it sat in the water for two day this past summer and had rust in the motor so I was going to put a new motor in it what my options rebuilt or but something bigger

Do some research(use google search site x-h2o).

There is many many different options, all depends on what you are wanting to do with the ski, but more importantly what your budget will allow.

Best to tear it all done first and see what damage was actually done. Post pics as you get into the engine and peeps will help guide you on where to go. Most likely if it's rusty you will need a new or used engine. Byeai's is purdy...haha

I have a 61x (single carb 701) short block engine for sale. 500.00 + s&h. This includes, cases assembled with crank, pistons, cyl, and head. No electrics, exhaust, intake, reeds, starter, etc.

Fresh water, came from a running ski. Engine has 150 psi compression on ach cyl. Pistons do show minor scoring on exh side. (not uncommon on an old motor). Crank is tight, and measures well within spec. IMO has lots of life left in it.
