2001 SJ stock one owner Fl, 2023 SJ's new in crate, NJ

These skis are not mine, please don't pm me asking a ton of questions about them. I just bought another house in SW Florida / Cape Coral area, and was talking with my new neighbor about moto-x because his GF had a MX shirt on. Turns out he was a big time road racer back in the 80's and now owns a Yamaha dealership in Jersey. So while we were talking about bikes I told him I raced standups back in the day and still had a bunch of SJs and SXRs. He then basically says "come with me, I have a RN that has been in the garage forever and doesn't get used". Pulled the blanket off of it, said he wasn't using it and hadn't used it since it was a year or two old. I removed the hood, (no pics, sorry) and yeah, it is 100% stock, I was able to reach under the coupler to see if it was locked up from sitting, and I was able to spin it through a compression stroke. He told me it had been winterized by one of his guys a while back. I don't know exactly what he wants for it, but I would guess something in the 4K range max, probably less. I only spent a minute or two looking at it, it does have some minor fade (Florida sun lol) but would clean up easily enough. Note that this was a couple months ago (August), but I was down there last week and he still has it in his garage in Florida. While we were talking during this last visit he told me that he bought five 2023 SJs earlier in the year. and has only sold one, he has 4 left, brand new in the crate at his NJ dealership. He told me that he would be willing to sell one for 10K, and then he said something about a $500 rebate from Yamaha on top of that. So if anybody here has a hard on for a four stroke SJ reach out to him. That's all the info that I have, just passing it along...

Have not purchased yet. In the process of moving, and don’t have a place to store it. I did buy a Footrocket pro last week though. Need a rig for my wife.
