Can anybody review a OEM 2008 impeller? I heard they are very good, and they look and behave completly different from the older props.. anybody has one ( I do but I still didn't ride the ski with it )?

How can you compare it to:

Skattrak, e.g. 12/13-17
Solas 13/18
Skattrak C75 (bighub)
Impros Hooker
Pre 2008 OEM impeller

Thank you!

I would say it is very similar to the Hooker impeller. I believe I was running a 9/15. I ended up sending it back as I felt my ski ran better with the OEM stainless impeller.

I would run it for sure.

Keep in mind this was an '08 SJ I was running this on. The performance may be different than earlier years.

I also run the OEM impeller and seems to do just fine. I had an intake grate from a RN and it had too much hookup in this hull, I am back also to the oem grate and it feels better, I will try to find a milder top loading grate for the 08....

i used to run a TBM cone and a skat 12/17 big hub prop.

i switched this winter to an 08 prop. 08 prop felt the same to me hookup wise in the surf in daytona as the skat and tbm did. i have the motor apart right now so i haven't been able to test the ski in any other conditions.

there is a thread somewhere with a hooker prop and an 08 side by side.
they look almost identical.

can't offer opinions on 08 setups
but props are like ride plates, grips, handlebars, etc... everyone has a personal preference
I've tried various pitches, cut backs, etc... ultimately i found one that fits what i wanted
currently running the 9x hooker prop from Dave. I think i'll go back to the 13/15 concord and cut it as close as possible
I've ridden a stock 01 SJ with stock prop and Wammers prop, big improvement with wammer prop
I've tried 13/15, 13/16, 13/17 concords and the Hooker prop, each has its strength to me
