2011 lenzi one build

I’ve already put in a few hours building this hull but since I have so little information on the hull I figured I’d post a build thread. So I bought this lenzi for a steal, and am trying to build a am ski for less the 5k. So far I’m doing pretty good.

She has a Yamaha 144 pump with mag stator and oem 08+ impeller, blowsion trim

A billet lenzi pole (looks a lot like the old bun freestyle one)

And a 61x with big bore xscream top end, protec pistons, big bore b pipe and a Novi 46.

Now for the weird. She has a custom machined midshaft housing made to accept a Yamaha bearing set and midshaft, and the pump shoe doesn’t match up with the intake grate bolt pattern

Had to shrink the rrp tubes because these tubes measure 2.20 inches outer diameter. Think bun freestyle would be the only ones to have the proper tubes. But this will work I hope

Any tips on how to remove a stripped out pump instert? Previous owner thought m6 bolts were good enough. Both front ones are stripped out

It was more likely the hull builder that installed the inserts. If you can determine if they're a block of aluminum or otherwise you could drill and tap them for m8, or you could always helicoil them.
 
The hull builder originally made it to run a 140 kawi pump. The previous owner swapped it to run a 160 pump “he had a massive 1200 wdk engine” hence the custom midshaft housing

Previous owner bought the hull with front holes already stripped. The 162 mm pump he was running is the o-ring design and did not need front bolts so he didn't need to fix them. As far as I know the holes have been stripped for a long while. Did the pump shoe and intake grate come with the hull or did you add your own.
 
Do all aftermarket hulls come with the "fisher price: My first Tool Kit"? Sounds like a lot of "builders" (using term lightly) have no clue.

Um, you guys do know that fasteners with helical inclined planes do not require a hammer for installation, right? Right? It's insane that every ski that I own (a lot) that I acquired used, had AT LEAST 5 stripped/broken/missing fasteners. At least fix what you break(properly).

The thing that blew me away is nothing was holding that pump in but m6 bolts. Seem kinda small. I have oem m10 inserts that I am going to put into it “ all 4 too btw. And tips on how to make sure the inserts are aligned properly and stay aligned while glassing in and such. Thinking about making a paper template and just leaving it there while doing the inserts. And then just letting the water get rid of the paper.

I’m willing to admit when I’m not sure. Lol

Are you talking about tdabney or sky walker?
