2014 bunk spacing

Hey everyone,

I'm sure this is a silly question but I just picked up a 2014 sj this weekend after many years of drooling over you all haha.

Anyways I'm just setting up the trailer bunk spacing and wondering the ideal spacing.

The hull has a few groves and just wasn't sure the best route to go in regards to stability and best distribution of weight.

Are you guys using 2x4 verticall?

Carpeted 2x4 on edge spaced 12” on center works good for sj and most 2stroke stand ups. Not required but you can router the edges of the board a bit to get longer life out of the carpet. Composite / recycled plastic board works too but depending on the trailer frame setup might need additional support as it usually is more flexible.

Thanks for this. I went 12" on center as you recommended and it worked out perfectly!
So much so I'm going to swap over my other trailers and lift to the same spacing
