2016 Rickter XFR - 160mm Pump with 718 ported

Hi,

I have recently picked up a 2016 XFR and also a 160mm MAXX pump with a scat prop (Can re-pitch it?), planning on swapping my motor in for now which is a 718 ported with b pipe msd etc the standard stuff.

Is this going to be too much pump for the 718? or will it still be an improvement from my 144 atm? Reason I bought the 160 is I plan on putting in a bigger motor at some point and it was a great deal.

A friend has a v3 tigercraft with a ported 718 and oem 155. Running a 6/12.

I’d go after a 155 OE setup with a 5/10 for that 718 and hang onto the 160 for the big motor. Getting a 160 prop flat enough for that 718 may not be practical. You’ll have no problem moving the 155 set up when you’re done with it.
